Sunday worship 10:30am – In Person/Zoom/YouTube
Complex world. Thoughtful church.

Music is a very important part of the worship life at ULCH. Whether you’re a professional musician, a student with a few years of instrument lessons, a University of Minnesota music major or a someone who likes to sing hymns in church: there is a role for you at ULCH!

If you would like to offer music in worship, just contact Paul Stever, Minister of Worship and Music.

If you’re particularly interested in our 1968 Holtkamp pipe organ, you can find more information about it here.

The Choir:

The Choir at ULCH sings a wide range of repertoire – from Gregorian chant to music written only a few years ago, accompanied and a capella. Their primary duty is to lead worship, and they do this by diligently rehearsing hymns and Psalms to help lead the assembly. But they also contribute to worship by offering more difficult choral works as a group.

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings, 7-8:30pm. We usually have some treats and socializing time after rehearsal. The Hope Choir sings for most Sundays between Labor Day and Trinity Sunday, warming-up at 9:30am for the 10:30am service. All singers are welcome to join! Contact Paul Stever, Minister of Worship and Music.

The Organ:

University Lutheran Church of Hope is blessed to have a very fine pipe organ installed in 1968 by the Holtkamp Organ Company of Cleveland, Ohio. For a complete stoplist, click here. It is currently maintained by Grandall and Engen LLC.
