Small groups are another wonderful opportunity to get to know others and form community beyond the Sunday morning worship service. Some small groups center on study, such as Book Club and Hope Connections, a small group opportunity for discussion and faith growth. Other small groups focus around special interests, such as the Choir, Garden Team, Basketball Pickup Game, Paddling and Biking, Quilters, and Crafting.
Hope Connections Small Groups
Hope Connections is a small-group bible study ministry that brings people together to share what is going on in their lives and to discuss what the Bible has to say to those situations. The theme for 2021-22 is “Stories of Healing”. The curriculum team of Stewart Herman, Dan Bielenberg, Sara Tufvesson-Doure, Alden Tetlie, Brian McCaffrey, and John Beane have assembled a curriculum booklet of six lessons based on the theme.
If you are interested in joining a group, in leading a group, or joining the curriculum team, please call John Beane at 651.338.4492 or email pilgrim.beane@gmail.com. The South Minneapolis group meets on the third Thursday of every month and we welcome new members. Other groups meet at other times. If you want to know others in the congregation on a deeper level and you want others to know you, join a group!
